What is sitemap?
The Sitemap according to wikipedia is protocol that allows a webmaster to inform search engines about URLs on a website that are available for crawling. A Sitemap is an XML file that lists the URLs for a site.
In its simplest form, a Sitemap is an XML file that lists URLs for a site along with additional metadata about each URL (when it was last updated, how often it usually changes, and how important it is, relative to other URLs in the site) so that search engines can more intelligently crawl the sites. This definition is according to www.sitemaps.org. In all a site is just an organizational structure of a site. From the two definition a site map is needed to allow web crawlers to crawl the pages of your site.

Step1
Click on the parallel lines where the blue arrow is pointing.
Step 2
On the dialogue box at the left hand side, click on sites, click on the site you want to add sitemap and robots txt. On the site click on the gear icon at the right hand side of the open dialogue box.
Step 3
If you have not named you site be, click on the textbox that says site name. click on the button change favicon. To sitemap. Click on the button that says sitemap.XML. follow the same method to add robot.text. The moment the button is clicked and the color changes to green you are dawn. Finally you will have to click OK to show you are dawn.
